"The violet in spring represents the blossoming of the soul."
Viole Nere was born from the desire to tell Meo Fusciuni's love story for the garden, as a physical and spiritual place, as a mirror of consciousness. He does so by interpreting the famous Violet, an austere and delicate flower, yet with a strong character.
A violet that speaks of March mornings, when the earth is still damp and cold, wet from the end of winter, and the first rays of spring illuminate the meadow. Violets grow and perfume the days, a ritual repeated year after year.
Meo Fusciuni modernizes tradition, seeking a balance between powdery, fruity, and woody notes. The sparkling note of Cassis speaks to the freshness of those mornings; the accord of Vetiver, Patchouli, and Incense brings us back to the earth, to our roots. The accords of Violet, Iris, and floral accords represent emotion, light, and elegance. A contemporary classic, a violet from the 1920s, but for the new century.
Notes: Cassis, cognac, violet, iris, lily of the valley, jasmine, rose, ylang-ylang, vetiver, incense, sandalwood, patchouli, oakmoss, vanilla, musk.
Musical and literary inspiration: Viole Nere was conceived, created, and arranged while Meo Fusciuni listened to My Dying Bride's album The Angel and the Dark River and read Mariangela Gualtieri's words during each stage of the perfume's creation.
