Molecule 01 + Patchouli is composed of Iso E Super + Patchouli.
Iso E Super is an abstract synthetic molecule characterized as a cedarwood note with a warm, velvety feel.
Patchouli is a natural product extracted from the leaves of the patchouli plant.
For perfumer Geza Schoen, patchouli is a unique natural product. Unlike 99% of perfume ingredients, it is associated with a specific era, the 1960s and 1970s, and with a bohemian spirit. It has a woody, fresh, and rather distant note with a moody energy.
Two qualities of patchouli have been used in the perfume. The largest portion is Patchouli Coeur, which is a soft, very clean fraction of patchouli oil with its camphor-like top note removed. Indonesian patchouli oil has also been included to round out the fragrance with a small top note.
The result is a sophisticated, clean patchouli that pairs fantastically well with Molecule 01.
